Chinese High School Students Seek 4 Nights Hosting

Chinese High School students need our help. Liz Zakos is helping with a non-profit that promotes cultural exchnage programs for youth. They have a group of Chinese Students coming into town Saturday evening on April 28th and leaving Wed. morning. They really need host families; people who can host one or even two students on their home. You would pick them up from the airport Saturday night and spend Sunday together with them. On Monday and Tuesday they would be in school and on Wed. morning they would leave.

Please see detailed info below. If you have any questions, please contact Liz Zakos @ lzakos@hotmail.com or call her at 602-751-8833.

RE: CHINESE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SEEK SHORT-TERM HOST EXPERIENCE IN ARIZONA – April 28 -May 2 = 4 nights!

Dear Friends,

We need your help, once again.

We are looking for a few Arizona families willing to welcome high school students from China into their homes for 4 nights of sleep, some meals, and a warm welcome to our State.
26 students from Humen Seaport, Donguan, Guangdong, China (near Hong Kong) will arrive in Phoenix on the evening of Saturday, April 28, and depart on the morning of Wednesday, May 2.
This is the same program as sent to you in March, but our second group.
The World Youth Visit Exchange Association (WYVEA) of Arizona, in cooperation with GreatChina International, is coordinating a short visit to the Valley of the Sun and an introduction to our American way of life.

The WYVEA Coordinating Team is arranging local high school visits and other excursions for Monday and Tuesday (WYVEA will provide the transportation). Host Families will provide morning drop-off at pre-arranged sites, and evening pick-up for these 2 days.
Hosts will pick up their guests on Saturday evening at Sky Harbor (parking passes will be available), and return their guests to Sky Harbor on Wednesday morning (curbside drop-off).

A more detailed flyer, program outline, schedule and Host Application is attached your information.

Please contact John or I if you are interested in hosting.
Please forward this Request to Host to others who may be able to help.

Please consider opening your home for this easy and fun short-term stay. It will be a delightful experience for you, and a once-in-a-life-time opportunity for these young people.
Our deepest thanks,

WYVEA
